Playing our final game of the season I was looking forward to seeing us go out with a bang and you didn’t disappoint me. This was a super match with fantastic football from both sides in a game that could have gone either way. I have to applaud the way Clapham Colts played with only 6 players on the field and no subs in that heat, wow, what can I say.

We changed our usual format today in order to accommodate Clapham being a player down which meant 4 or you only had 15 minutes or so each, so thank you for your patience. The football in both halves was super and the first half in particular with each team scoring 3 goals taking it in turns to hold the lead. Second half, we continued as in the first and added another two goals to finish off a great all round performance.

As a coach and when you see football like today you don’t mind what the result is, knowing the effort and work which was put into the game and the enjoyment taken out.

It has been a super first season with you boys and I wish you all the very best for next season and hope to see you all back next year at Westoning. I’m keeping my fingers crossed we can find a new coach for you boys, so you can continue the hard work already put in.
